Ecological Intelligence
Daniel Goleman
PB AUD33.00

|
|
Each day, as consumers, we are faced
with a huge number of choices in everything we
purchase. Our decision processes are bombarded
by media calls for 'green buying' almost to the
point where we are left confused.
Daniel Goleman argues that to date
our thinking about issues such as the environment,
health hazards or child labour have been one-dimensional,
focusing on single problems in isolation from
the rest. He goes on to say that our 'green awareness'
is so superficial we often do more harm than good
by ignoring the adverse impacts of the far vaster
proportion of what we buy and do.
He shows how the availability of
complete information about all aspects of a product's
history is about to transform the power of consumers
and the fate of business. He believes that for
the first time what a company say's will matter
far less than what they actually do.
Daniel Goleman is a psychologist
and journalist as well as the co-founder of the
Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional
Learning at Yale University Child Studies Centre.

Excuses Begone
Dr Wayne Dyer
PB AUD26.95

|
|
During 2006 Wayne Dyer immersed
himself in the "Tao Te Ching". He states
in his introduction of this book that during this
time he learned what to think in order to harmonise
with his higher self.
He also asked Lao-tzu for advice
on how to change long established habits and thoughts
and so evolved the Excuses Begone! paradigm.
And he goes on to say, "It
works! - I have taken many people through the
seven questions that constitute this exciting
new paradigm and I've seen powerful change take
place."
In this book he presents to you
a compendium of conscious and subconscious crutches
employed by virtually everyone along with ways
to cast them aside once and for all. You will
be shown how to apply specific questions to any
excuse, and then proceed through the steps of
a new paradigm.
As you work through you will come
to the realisation that there are no excuses worth
defending.

The Secrets of the Zodiac
Michele Finey
PB AUD29.95

|
|
It has been said over the ages that
the Zodiac is a life map and all you need to do
is follow the signs.
Life is so much easier when you
know where you are going, what you are capable
of and what's likely to trip you up. In Secrets
of the Zodiac you'll discover why you are the
person you are and your life mission. You will
discover how other zodiac signs see the world
and this can only make for better relationships!
In her forward, Michelle talks about how the horoscope
is a map, which symbolically describes a specific
moment in time, with each chart being unique.
While your birth chart can tell
you a great deal about your potential, what you
actually do with this potential to a large extent
depends on your conscious awareness and soul's
development and that is an ongoing process!

Grace,Gaia and the End
of Days
Stuart Wilde
HC AUD24.95

|
|
For all the Stuart Wilde fans this
is a long awaited book.
He tells us at this time we are
living in the era of the goddess Kali's return,
the age of destruction, where the self-correcting
intelligence of the planet will take back earth
on behalf of the animals, nature and the children.
He goes on to describe a power called
the Solar Logas whose task is to deliver a rebirth
known as the renewal.
His writing is certainly thought
provoking and will be sure to raise the emotions
in many!

A Story of Wonder
Roxene Cossill
HC AUD19.95

|
|
This is not so much a book about
God as it is about the world of discovery that
is natural to the mind of a child.
The story focuses on a child's enormous
curiosity by engaging their imagination and awakening
their appreciation for the wonder and beauty all
around.
Learning skills are addressed by
the counting of objects and the dragonfly to find
throughout the book. At the end of the book are
some journal pages for the child to put down their
own thoughts and ideas either via drawing or writing.
